Rage Bait, Anger, and Living in Chronic Fear - Their Impact on our Brains and Our Ways of Being

Media is inducing feelings such as rage and fear. And it isn’t just changing how we feel in the moment, it is changing our brains, our behaviors and it is changing the next generation. But there are ways to stop this. It is urgent that we educate ourselves on the subject of media because our brains are changing worldwide.

This project has a focus on the future, which is unknown, therefore it requires opinions from knowledgeable people. If you can help, reach out down below.

Quick and Dirty

vs

Slow and Accurate

There are two routes for processing threats. Both begin at the thalamus, which receives sensory information. The quick route sends information directly to the amygdala, which reacts by instinct and triggers the hypothalamus to release stress hormones. The slower route processes information via conscious decision-making, allowing us for a more rational response.
